Ladies Tennis Success in National League

Last weekend Blackburn Northern Ladies enjoyed an excellent victory in the regional division of the National League - beating Lymm Ladies by 6 matches to 0.

We secured all 4 singles - with Jane Jackson at 4 (coming through a 3 set match, winning on a match tie break), Elizabeth Rimmer at 3, Rachel McCrae at 2, and Hayley Westley at 1. 

Then for the second round captain Rachael Hyland stepped in to win the 2nd doubles tie with Elizabeth, while Hayley and Rachel teamed up at 1st pair, coming through a close match tie break.

Overall a very convincing win. The ladies have now to play Markland Hill to gain promotion to the national division.
