Ladies National 50s Inter Club League

Three Sues and Laura battle hard in first competitive match since Covid

Blackburn Northern’s National 50s Inter Club team comprising Sue Liver, Sue Kitto, Sue Lawson and Laura Blomeley recently played their first competitive match in almost two years in challenging weather conditions against an experienced team from Rawdon LTC. 

Despite some close matches, our team lost overall but will build on the valuable experience gained.      All the players must be congratulated on their high level of tennis and fitness which they have successfully maintained throughout all the Lockdowns.     It is hoped that this match heralds the return to a new normal of regular competitive matches once again.
