Hockey raise money ....

Anna Hollingworth organised a Cake and Coffee morning for the McMillan Trust in memory of Liz Collins.

£186 was raised during the morning and early matches and then the last match of the Day, Ladies 3s, came back to the Club House with Lancaster Nomads and cleaned up all that was left, with a further addition of £40.

Well done to everybody, not least 1s Goalkeeper Michelle who made the brilliant hockey pitch cake.

Angela Allen also organised a Memorial match for Liz and the McMillan Nurses against her old team, Derby, who came with an England Hockey player included.   This we hope will be an annual “derby” for the Liz Collins Silver plate engraved with the winner.    

Over £100 was raised for the very worthy cause.   Again thanks to all involved.
