President's Resignation

It is with great regret that the Management Committee has accepted the resignation of the Club President - Nick Marsden.

The Management Committee would like to place on record their thanks to Nick for his long service to the Club. He has been a willing and dedicated volunteer since joining the Club as a junior over 50 years ago. He has filled many positions on Club committees over 40 plus years, including: President; Chairman; Vice Chairman and Tennis Chairman. Nick has represented the Club at tennis, cricket and squash. He played tennis for the junior teams and later became captain of the Men’s 1st Team. He played cricket for the junior teams and progressed through to the 1st Team. During the early days of the squash section he represented the Club in local leagues.

At the AGM in November 2012, Ian Broughton, Club Treasurer, proposed that Nick be given Honorary Life Membership for his services to the Club. This was agreed unanimously by all present.

Nick will remain as a Trustee of the Club.
