Rewarded for speeding!

John Whitfield won the annual Winter "rapid play" competition at Crusaders Blackburn Chess Club. 

He tied for first place with George Markovic and then won a play-off to clinch the trophy.

Junior Regan Topham won the grading prize for the second year running.

A total of 10 players took part in the competition - well done everyone!
