BNSC Ladies Victorious

Blackburn Northern ladies victorious in 1st Round National Inter-club knockout match.

Blackburn Northern Over 60’s team had a home tie against a team from Strathgryffe tennis club, Glasgow last weekend.    Our first pair of Sue Lawson and Michelle Watts had relatively easy victories, dropping only eight games the entire match!    Additionally, the tenacity of our second pair of Laura Blomeley and Angela Newman - winning both matches on championship tie breaks - ensured a BNSC 4-0 victory. This was even more remarkable as they had lost to these pairs last year, demonstrating how much they have improved over the winter season.
