Northern Ladies 40s Tennis Team perform well at the Finals!

Great news to report ....

Northern's Senior Interclub Womens 40’s team were finalists at the weekend.  We played Hazelwood in the final on Saturday at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton.  It was a fantastic experience with a match result of 1-3, bringing us in as runners up;  yet for Blackburn Northern's first entry of a 40’s womens team, we did take it all the way 🎾👏.

The Finals team (see picture below) was:   Hayley Westley (captain), Esther Kitchen, Rachael Hyland and Danielle Gallagher and a huge thankyou is due to Liz Bennett and Lisa Jackson for playing their part in getting us to the Final.

We have learnt a lot and now know what we need to do to try bring the win home to Blackburn next year.     We have had huge support from BNSC members, family and friends so thank you to all - we could not have done it without this support.
